biography

Edward C. Schmidt has nearly 30 years of broad-based experience and applied knowledge in advising clients and trying cases across the country relating to areas of antitrust, securities, product liability, and corporate commercial issues. He has tried or litigated cases across the country in both federal and state courts.

Mr. Schmidt's corporate clients/client industries have spanned the spectrum from smaller companies to the Fortune 100, and representations have involved the banking, securities, tobacco, manufacturing, and service industries. His involvement has ranged from providing general antitrust advice to reorganizing a law department, while preparing a bank to be sold, and trying cases involving a wide spectrum of legal theories and case law with considerable dollar amounts.
